Brimbank City Council seeks the services of a suitably experienced person to lead the Brimbank Positioning Strategy.
The strategy is aimed at facilitating desirable development and investment into the Brimbank Municipality which is strategically positioned in the heart of Australia’s fastest growing region.

Brimbank City Council seeks the services of a suitably experienced person to lead the Brimbank Positioning Strategy.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Update the suite of soft and hard copy investment and development promotional material as required.
• Pursue opportunities to raise Brimbank’s profile at senior levels with State and Federal government officers and elected representatives.
• Pursue initiatives to meet and raise Brimbank development and investment opportunities with major businesses, investors, developers and land owners.
• Pursue opportunities to raise the profile of Brimbank with media.
• Develop options for Energy Park and its strategic positioning within the Sunshine Health and Wellbeing precinct.
• Continue the development of the strategic positioning for Sunshine Health and Wellbeing Precinct.
Key Selection Criteria:
• Extensive experience and achievement in urban development and related fields;
• Extensive knowledge of urban planning principles and practice.
• Broad management understanding and experience in a local government environment. .
• Demonstrated high level ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships that facilitate partnerships which provide benefits to the community.
• Excellent leadership and management skills including communication and negotiation skills, ability to liaise widely, at all levels and with a wide variety of stakeholders and community groups and ability to lead and manage staff, and to participate in an Executive Management Team.
• The ability to operate successfully in a politically sensitive environment.
