About The Position
The COSMOS billing development team currently has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Developer to join their team.  Based in our global head office in Abbotsford, this permanent full-time opportunity will allow you to draw upon the theoretical knowledge gained from University, and apply your knowledge practically within the COSMOS Billing Team.

The team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the in-house developed COSMOS Billing application. The application is used by Computershare to apply complex rate models, create invoices for clients and to allocate general ledger codes for loading into Computershare's accounting system. Tens of millions of dollars are billed through this application each month so high quality and performance are critical. It is installed in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Hong Kong and Australia.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Developing and maintaining code in accordance to requirements details in the Functional Specification document and development work items.
    Developing, maintaining and unit testing code written in C#, VB.Net and VB6.
    Creating and maintain reports using MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reports and Crystal Reports 10.5
    Participating in peer review codes.
    Conducting technical tests.
    Liaising with other members of the development team including Business Analysts, Database Administrators and Tester to ensure quality software delivery is on time.

The Essential skills/qualities required for this role:
    Tertiary qualifications in Computer Technology, Information Technology or similar.
    Programming in C#, VB.Net, VB6 or similar programming language.
    SQL Programming.
    Programming in .Net Framework.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Demonstrates a high level of initiative.
    Must be proactive and willing to go above and beyond what is required.
    Ability to work independently and as part of  a team

The Desired skills/experience:
    Understanding of Financial or Billing concepts.

Computershare Communication Services provides a variety of outsourced document fulfilment and electronic communication services to a portfolio of direct commercial clients in a variety of industry groups. Communications Technology Group provides global technology and infrastructure support for the Computershare Communications business through a full range of project and development services.

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Communications Technology Group responsible for supporting and driving multiple large-scale, concurrent, enterprise-level client facing projects for Computershare's Communication Services business.

About The Position
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and directing a team of project managers, providing guidance, coaching and acting as project escalation.

Additionally, the role is responsible for successful end to end management, implementation, and transitional activities associated with a number of program or large scale projects and initiatives.

This position has the option to be based at Carrington Street or Ermington with a requirement to travel between the two sites.

The Main Duties Responsibilities:
    Provide project management leadership, and expert advice and guidance, to project management team members, including management of performance and mentoring.
    Manage the planning, implementation and delivery of assigned programs or large scale projects in relation to time, budget and quality requirements.
    Ensuring the Program / Project budget is agreed to, monitored and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
    Identify, analyse and escalate key risks and issues associated with each initiative in their early stages and monitor throughout the project
    Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management (project change control).
    Actively contribute to the Project Delivery Group (PDG) continuous improvement program.
    Establish effective stakeholder management and communications, using informal and formal channels of communication, including the preparation of complex reports, briefings and presentations to influence clients / senior stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
    Generate and maintain management reporting, project management plans and other associated project documents, project schedules, meeting agendas, minutes and status reports.
    Work collaboratively within a team of multi-disciplined project managers and contribute to the delivery of the assigned projects.
    Flexibility to travel interstate if required

The ideal candidate will have experience operating in a commercial and professional services environment delivering projects successfully within scope, time and budget.

    Proven record of managing a team of Project Managers
    Proven record of delivering client-focused projects on time, within scope and budget
    Experience in delivering complex projects or programs of works through the full project lifecycle
    Demonstrated experience managing multiple large client and solutions based technology projects in a commercial or professional services environment
    Experience managing large project teams
    Experience in guiding and mentoring PMs
    High degree of self-direction, leadership and motivational skills
    Exceptional ability to negotiate and influence others
    Highly developed problem solving and stakeholder management skills
    Able to work under pressure and set, work and deliver to tight deadlines/milestones
    Understand Project budgets to optimise revenue opportunities where scope changes

    Experience working in a Project Office environment
    Excellent Conflict resolution skills
    Excellent Problem Solving ability
    Exceptional Planning and Organisational skills
    Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written)
