Position Summary 

 Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Neurosurgeon to join our Department of Neurosurgery.

The Department of Neurosurgery occupies a 32 bed ward shared with Vascular Surgery, & has five sessional surgeons and 9 operating lists per week. There are two Outpatient Clinics and a preadmission clinic scheduled weekly. The Unit has particular interests in Epilepsy surgery, Complex Spinal surgery and Brain Tumour surgery.

The Dept. of Neurosurgery is responsible for the provision of services within the specialty to patients within the Austin Hospital and surrounding areas. Patients from Interstate and Overseas are treated for Epilepsy with the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.
