Pacific Technical Assistance Mechanism (PTAM)

GRM is seeking Expression of Interest for a Recruitment Specialist for an anticipated AusAID-funded Pacific Technical Assistance Mechanism (PTAM). The position is envisaged to be over 48 months and based either in Brisbane or another Pacific Location.

Overall purpose of the position:

The purpose of the Recruitment Specialist position is to provide a quality end to end recruitment service designed specifically to support the complex staffing needs in PTAMs 12 target countries in the Pacific.

Key Objectives of the position:

•     Deliver timely and effective recruitment solutions for projects throughout the pacific;
•     Building and maintaining a network of qualified candidates;
•     Management of talent pools, including developing and implementing a Candidate Care Program;
•     Participating and collaborating with technical and project staff to develop strategic recruitment campaigns and identify the resources to track senior industry specialists;
•     Provide relevant and timely information and advice to; and
•     Representing PTAM at career fairs, off-site recruitment efforts, and networking events as required.

Skills required:

•     Relevant bachelor degree in HR , International Development or a related field;
•     Minimum 4 years' experience in the commercial recruitment industry or relative sector experience;
•     Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to advise and liaise at all levels;
•     Excellent internet researching capabilities and database management experience; and
•     Experience within International Development and experience working with AusAid (including knowledge of the Advisor Remuneration Framework) is seen as an advantage.

    Proven ability to interact, communicate and maintain effective relationships with senior level candidates;
    Strong negotiation skills;
    Interest in both international and private sector development;
    Well developed and highly effective organisational skills and attention to detail; and
    Ability to thrive under pressure and balance several competing tasks at once.
