We are looking for an exeprienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team, to help us grow our brand and deliver on our conservation goals. THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Marketing and Communications Manager, Australia Division, is responsible for the development, creation and implementation of strategic marketing & fundraising programs and communications initiatives designed to advance TNC's guiding marketing strategies to build brand reputation, influence conservation action, and deliver on fundraising goals.
Specific responsibilities include:
ABOUT MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS:
- Develop and implement marketing and communications plans to support fundraising opportunities through raise brand awareness of TNC and its mission, using all channels (including digital) and targeting various target audiences.
- Working with other department and regional staff, help develop corporate relationships to facilitate fundraising and cause-related marketing opportunities.
- Create and manage proposals.
- Develop overarching messaging frameworks, and work closely with Asia Pacific Region and Worldwide Office communications staff to ensure consistency of messaging in TNC, collateral, media and global communications.
- Create and deliver various internal and external facing collateral, documents, proposals, templates and other materials.
- Support internal departments with their communications, content and creative needs. Responsible for ongoing updates, maintenance and content for website and other digital channels.
- Manage all aspects of a specific program and projects, and work closely with key stakeholders such as media and corporate partners, Council, and advertising and public relations agencies to ensure consistent delivery of the TNC brand, particularly on the public outreach linked to the Supporter Program. Coordinate operational delivery of branding principles whether applied internally, outbound or with external partners.
- The Marketing and Communications Manager, Australia Division, serves as a member of the Asia Pacific Regional Marketing and Communications Network (MCN) and reports to the Director of Marketing and Membership Fundraising. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be assisted by the Digital Media and Marketing Assistant. TNC
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations or related field and 7 years' experience in one of the marketing disciplines: media relations & writing, digital media, creative & production or publications or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with word processing, PowerPoint, database management, and spreadsheet software.
- Experience cultivating and managing corporate relationships with proven results.
- Experience in managing vendors for campaigns, including production, event, advertising, communications/PR and/or media partners or network of freelancers.
- Experience in project and account management - including developing strategic plans and programs and measuring results.
- Experience developing platforms for corporate engagement and identifying opportunities for funding.
- Experience with written and verbal communication, negotiating agreements.
- Experience with current technology in the marketing field.
- Relationship management skills and the ability to work with and communicate with a wide range of people and personalities - the public, program leadership, media partners and NGO Partners.
- Expert knowledge of current and evolving trends in relevant discipline.
- Successful experience in developing, directing and managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals.
- Excellent organisationalskills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate time and detail reporting for deliverables outlined in marketing plans.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas in a compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively for various audiences, from technical information.
- Strong computer skills and software knowledge.
- Expert in current and evolving technology related to field of experience.
- Ability to foster an environment of creativity and professional growth.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Experience working with and delegating to junior members of staff
